I hope people can spread the word around and fix this mode to what it used to be like because in it's current state there is no reason to play it other than some nostalgic feels. I personally haven't played a whole ton of Survival but these are my thoughts on the mode from just a few games. Instead of having rounds where an AH-6 would spawn or a Juggernaught from a Helicopter, Juggernauts are just randomly placed down on the map as a new round starts. Weapons and attachments feel way too overpriced considering you need to split all the points you could earn in a wave with three other people unless you're playing in a private match. Instead of having a separate leveling system for weapons and equipment that you earn XP for by playing the modes, Progression is tied to your Multiplayer progression meaning if you want to use the AK-47 you need to get to level 53. Unfortunately, that's where the similarities end.

After the waves end you can run around to a weapon, killstreak, or equipment box to spend your points on what you want. You start off with a pistol and nothing else and play wave to wave fighting against AI enemies that increasingly get more difficult as time goes by, racking up points by killing them and you do get extra for going for headshots which I recommend as the AI die in one shot to the head. Well even with maps not being great and the fact that there are seven more maps in Modern Warfare we could play on, How's the gameplay? Does it at least play like classic Survival.

The maps feel way to large for only four people to play on and I can't imagine trying to play Survival by yourself or close friends of yours. Remember back in Mw3 where you could play on any of the Multiplayer maps with a friend? Well, it's somewhat in this game in the form of Private match but you're only limited to three maps, which are Aniyah Palace, Grazna Raid, and everyone's fan-favorite Piccadilly.

Instead of having an option to select which maps you want to play on that would increase the difficulty slightly by adding in different types of enemies you're instead paired with three other random people on three lackluster maps. Using Modern Warfare 3's Survival mode in comparison it is a bare-bones version that feels lazily put together just to give people a reason to buy the PS4 version of MW. It is terrible, and for anyone on PC and Xbox you're not missing out on anything at all.
